Photo Recipe Saver (“the app”) is developed by Ondrej Andrysek (“I”, “me”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app. The short version: I don’t collect any of your data. Your recipes stay on your device and in your own iCloud account.
None. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no servers of my own. I cannot see your recipes, photos, or shopping lists.
The app stores the following on your device:
If you are signed in to iCloud, this data syncs through your private iCloud database using Apple’s CloudKit, so it can appear on your other devices. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. I have no access to it.
The app asks for permission to use your camera and photo library so you can add recipe photos. It only accesses the photos you choose to take or import. You can change these permissions at any time in your device’s Settings.
When you scan ingredients, text recognition is performed on your device using Apple’s built-in frameworks. Your photos are not sent to me or to any third-party service for this.
The app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external service involved is Apple’s iCloud, as described above.
You can delete any recipe inside the app. Deleting the app removes the data stored on your device. To remove data synced to iCloud, go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage on your iPhone and delete the app’s data.
Depending on where you live, including the European Union under the GDPR, you have rights to access, correct, and delete your personal data. Because I don’t collect or hold any of your data, all of it remains under your control on your device and in your iCloud account, where you can view and delete it at any time.
If this policy changes, I will update this page and the effective date above.
